Planned and actuals items

To make it much faster to find discrepancies between planned current month and actual current month could they be displayed together.

Would be great to be able to match actual transaction to the planned transaction in budget

(Just like you can match invoice to actual). I find that the planned items in budget just drop off & its really difficult to get through all planned items in budget & change/move each individual planned item to a forward date or match up & adjust the quantity or price & make a new plan item for remaining amount to carry forward etc.
To just simply match the actual to the planned at the time you match the invoice to the actual, would Cut down time! Maybe its another box pops up below with budget & its just optional to match this trans to a budget item with a list of the current budget items that you can select from, then adjust the planned item to suit & match & then the rest of planned item (if applicable) carries over to forward date that you set, for forecasting.
Would save going into budget & searching through & a lot of time.
EG; planned 1000 ewes @ $90 month of march in budget. actual trans 820 ewes @$100 on 14march, remaining 180 ewes @$90 carries forward to (set date)
or
Buget - Fertiliser March $25000. Actual - Fertiliser 30 March $15000 - Remaining now not going on as changed plan/saved money, but still show $10000 to June as savings in fertiliser?? Dunno

Working Plan actuals

When in the working plan and using the "current month" as the revision date it would be so helpful for this column to show alongside the column that has the planned items for the same month. It almost impossible to make any sense of the current month until the 1st of the next month.

I would like how you had in old Rural the option to see actuals and budget totals up to specified month ( i.e nothing on other side of red line) or whole year as an option

Please bring back feature of cash manager rural - actuals and budget figures that could be on a set day of month (not end of month only).
The revision date for the month would show actuals in one column and planned items in another

Thanks Jessica.
Have you checked out our compare data icon?
Here you will be able to see both planned and actual items.

Thanks for this.
WOAH that's a lot of information. I actually don't want twice as many numbers to look at on my plan screen!! What I want is another column that sits alongside the revision month showing what was planned for that month so I can easily compare between the two sets of data- what has occurred/has been coded and where the gaps are, so I can best understand what's yet to come. My concern is only with the month we are physically in.

I wanted to come back to this as I've just had a look with my current inputted information, and can better understand what it is showing me. The actuals line on the plan only has coded and matched transactions, ie what has happened in the bank side of the actuals screen. I want to also compare my coded but not paid invoices on the left side of the needs action screen, so an amalgamation of the two - what has happened and what will happen.

this sounds like a brilliant time saver and would keep budget easier to manage. I vote for this.
